Womb Hara Therapy

Womb Hara Therapy is for the woman who:

  • Wants to connect with her womb space and femininity (regardless of whether or not she is on a conception journey - all are welcome)

  • Is struggling with the heartache of infertility and conception challenges

  • Wants to receive bodywork that compliments her OI or IVF cycles

  • Suffers from painful, heavy, irregular, scant or missing periods, PMS or ovulation pain

  • Has ongoing challenges with conditions like PCOS, Endometriosis, Fibroids, Candida and IBS

  • Wants to address diaphragm restrictions and enhance breath capacity, allowing for deeper and more nourishing breaths

  • Wants to heal any experiences that her womb is holding and registering as traumatic (painful experiences that need some TLC to heal such as labour/birth or physical abuse)

  • Wishes to gently begin healing her heart and body following a miscarriage/s, early birth, stillborn or termination (whether recent, or historical)

Our bodies teach us each month that we must clear space before we can gestate life: clearing the old is an integral part of creation. Before we can create the new, before we can increase our power, we must make space.

What is Womb Hara Therapy?

Womb Hara Therapy is a sacred, healing and nourishing treatment. Womb Hara is based on ancient Chinese Chi Nei Tsang abdominal massage, Fertility Massage, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and Mayan abdominal massage techniques.

It is a specialised non-invasive hands-on massage treatment that focuses on gently softening tension and restoring harmony and health to the uterus, ovaries, sacrum and digestive tract.

In the treatment I focus solely on the sacrum, coccyx, gluteal region, abdominals and abdomen, helping to relieve the tension in these areas that can impact reproductive health and general wellbeing.

What to expect in a session:

We will begin our session with a cup of tea, and an exploration of how you’re feeling and what you’re needing.

Unlike traditional medical models, we will spend a lot of time at this stage of our journey together, diving deep into your history, allowing emotions to arise and providing a safe and sacred space for you to share what’s on your heart.

From there, you’ll settle onto my treatment table (much like traditional massage treatments, you will be asked to remove your outer layer of clothing, but will be provided with a warm towel to cover yourself with).

Then, you can simply shut your eyes as I flow with my intuition and create a bespoke session that supports the softening of the tension in your uterus, ovaries, sacrum and digestive tract.

I will end by cocooning you in comforting wraps and guiding you through a meditation to bring you back into the space.

Kind words

Janelle’s true gift, that she brings to her profession, is that she does not get trapped into thinking she needs to “save” a woman, rather she knows and trusts that each woman is a powerful creator capable of saving herself.

Womb Hara Therapy

Womb Hara Therapy is a specialised non-invasive hands-on massage treatment that focuses on gently softening tension and restoring harmony and health to the uterus, ovaries, sacrum and digestive tract.

This deeply intentional therapy works to release tension and adhesions, detoxify the organs, open the diaphragm to facilitate deeper breathing and promote digestive and hormonal balance. It can alleviate conditions such as lower back pain, irregular, painful periods, prolapsed uterus and infertility.

When we provide the abdomen with intentional touch therapy it aids to relax the nervous system promoting a parasympathetic healing state, grounds, centres, help to recharge the inner batteries (adrenals) and the release of stuck emotions and cellular memory within the body.

Things to consider when booking your appointment

Things to consider when booking a Womb Hara Therapy session

If you are using this therapy as a form of pre-conception support, cycle days 6 to 16 (your Inner Spring/Follicular Phase/Pre Ovulation) is the ideal window to receive your treatment within.

I highly recommend that women moving through a natural, OI or IVF cycle to visit for an Integrative Bodywork session during the Luteal Phase of their cycle (cycle days 17 to 25 or confirmed ovulation, post trigger/embryo transfer) to soothe the heart and nervous system.

For all other purposes you can receive this therapy at any phase, other than your bleed/period (cycle days 1 to 3, or on your heaviest days). I always suggest checking in with your body as to when would be the most nourishing and potent time for it to receive a treatment. Your body will be your greatest guide!

I’m unable to provide this treatment if you have:

  • Your period (cycle days 1 to 3, or on your heaviest days)

  • An active infection or STD

  • Pregnancy

  • IVF implantation (see above for alternative support)

  • An IUD or Mirena

  • A Pedunculated Fibroid.

  • Within 6 weeks of minor surgery

  • Within 1 year of major surgery

If you have any questions about whether or not Womb & Fertility Therapy can support you, then please see if your query is answered here.
